Health Insurance Companies Are Way Out of LinePosted: 10/17/2009
These days one is to wonder why they even pay for health insurance coverage anymore. The insurance providers do everything they can to weasel their way out of paying for certain health issues. It amazes me to see these huge health insurance companies charge the prices for plans that don't cover squat! Isn't it crazy that in the USA the health insurance industry is in it for making money? Is that what this should be about. Charging more, denying claims to save a buck, bad business practices, the list goes on and on. I recently heard of a woman who's infant baby got dropped off of her plan because her baby was over weight. The woman was only breast feeding the baby, no other types of food were given to the little one, so there was nothing the woman was at fault for and yet, the insurance company had the balls to tell this poor woman her baby is over weight and is being dropped from her coverage. Are you kidding me? Well finally the woman put her foot down and made a big stink to the local media in her area and when it made the news the insurance company backed off their decision and kept the baby on the plan. Seriously folks, do we really have to go to these extremes just to get our insurance providers to cover services that we are paying for? This drives me nuts! What's next, an in grown hair is a pre-existing condition? Come on! We all work hard for our insurance coverage and we expect our providers to be there when we need them to be. It's bad enough our country allows these bafoons to make money off of this. In Europe, the government pays for people's health care coverage. They have so many luxuries from their governments it makes our country's government look like the greedy bastards they are. I seriously hope our health care someday is run just like some of these other Eurpean countries. Everybody would have coverage and we wouldn't be paying high premiums or worrying about our providers weaseling their way out of claims. If you ever have to deal with a situation where you have a condition that your insurance company is trying to deny or classify as something that doesn't warrant coverage, fight like hell. Contact your local media channels and raise hell so you make your insurance carrier look like idiots and that they have no other choice but to back off.
