The Yankees are Champs Once Again

For the second time this decade the New York Yankees are champions once again! Out of the four world series they have appeared in the last nine years they have gone 2-4. By New York fans this may not be acceptable as they always expect their team to not only be in the series each year but win it as well. But when you really look at their two championship wins this decade it really is remarkable!Not many teams get to the series at all! Not many teams can say that they have won the championship, the most prized possession in all of baseball! But the Yanks have done it twice in the 2000's and have snagged six in the last 13 years. That's pretty amazing!!!!
Most often, fans of other teams bag on the Yankees because they think that they buy their championships. other fans of baseball rag on New York because they always seem to be in the post season steam rolling their way to the World Series each year. But if you really examine the last nine years the Yankees have lost twice in the series and one of those years they didn't make the post season at all. So to say that money buys championships is nonsense. Chemistry wins championships people! No chemistry, no wins, and no wins means no championships.
This year even know they spent a lot of money on CC Sabathia, Mark Texiera, and AJ Burnett, the team had a lot of chemistry. Alex Rodriguez put all his side show drama on the back burner and concentrated on baseball. Nick Swisher helped liven up the club house and created more friendships amongst the players. AJ Burnett is a certified prankster that is loved dearly by his team mates and the fans. When a team has chemistry and all these other great characteristics nothing can get in the way. Oh Yeah, don't forget about awesome pitching, defense and hitting that little white thing we call a baseball.
One other most important aspect that came into this world series championship is that each player trusted one another out on that field and they all had a vision of winning all the time. When you can have faith and trust and see yourself as a champion then all these goals they have set for themselves this year will manifest into reality. So anybody that goes around saying this and that about the Yanks being champions really need to look in the mirror and ask themselves if they're just jealous or if they hate winners! I don't know about you and I hope your on the same page with me but I love winners. Winners are who I associate myself with!
